Kendra Howard is a Labor and Delivery Nurse at Oregon Health & Science University, certified in Inpatient Obstetrics Nursing. Kendra has been a Registered Nurse with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing for 6 years working exclusively in Obstetrics and Neonatal healthcare, in the inpatient hospital setting. She joined ABNAO in June 2020 and became the ABNAO Secretary in January 2021. Kendra was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, and attended Linfield College for her nursing degree while playing for the Linfield College Women’s Soccer team. Kendra’s passion and focus have always been helping others, whether assisting in health and healing, birth, or giving back to the community. She found that ABNAO perfectly aligned with her passions and beliefs, a place where she could be actively involved in uplifting the community, improving access, and advocating for the best healthcare for BIPOC while working with fellow nurses and nursing students.
